Conglomerate is a small companies who are owned by bigger companies,this relates to Doctor Strange as Marvel are owned by Disney.

The BBFC (British Board Of Film Classification) regulate films in the UK.

4) What age rating was Doctor Strange given? Why?

Doctor Strange was given a rating of 12A because its a family film and people age 12+ and under with parental guidance can watch it this is to maximise audience.

5) How was Doctor Strange promoted to an audience? List at least three different methods used by the film's marketing campaign.

Doctor Strange was promoted:Merchandising opportunities, Better potential box office, 47% of cinema audiences were aged 7-24 in the UK in 2014.  Word of mouth and peer influence is important in generating interest.

6) Analyse the film trailer for Doctor Strange. What aspects of the trailer tell you this is a big-budget blockbuster movie?

One aspect of the trailer would be the high budget as Marvel used expensive cars and also it is an IMAX movie (which shows it is expensive because for IMAX you need special equipment).Furthermore, the movie costing $165 million and it uses amazing effects which are used throughout the movie which makes the action feel real. The location was also very expensive as they had travelled to: New York, Nepal, Hong Kong and London. Marvel has also used star power as they used famous actors Benedict Cumberbatch -who starred in the BBC's Sherlock- and Rachel McAdams. Also, many companies has paid Marvel for product placement like the: Lamborghini,Huawei'.

7) What was the production budget for Doctor Strange and how much did it make at the box office?

The production budget for Doctor Strange was $165 million and it made $700 million at the box office. Therefore, it made double of its original.

8) Would you consider Doctor Strange a successful Hollywood blockbuster? Why?

I would consider Doctor Strange a successful Hollywood blockbuster because it had made $700 million at the box office. However,compared to the other blockbuster movies marvel have made it isn't as successful.
