'Introduction to Magazine cover conventions'

1) List the three most important magazine cover conventions in your opinion and explain why for each one.
In my opinion, Slogans because it is short and catchy so therefore it will stick with people and make them remember your magazine clearly whenever they see it or hear it. As well as, the central image as at first glance it captures the viewers eye and captivates them and then making them more willing to buy it. Also, it would be the first impression of the magazine to see weather they enjoy looking at it. Lastly, language as if they take a deeper look and inspection at it they could find puns and play of words funny or interesting therefore getting a good impression and see if they might enjoy it.

2) Identify as many of the magazine cover conventions as you can and write a list of where they appear on this cover of Closer. As an extension, you could also write about the preferred reading for the convention - what the magazine is trying to communicate to the audience.

Slogans: above the title of the magazines name.

Name checks: of celebrities and common people who were featured: Cheryl Chole, Posh, Danielle, Marine etc.

Barcode: bottom right of the magazine front cover.

Colour Scheme: The main colours would be pink ,yellow and occasionally white.
