2) What is the font choice used on the cover and what does this choice connote? Here's a blog to help you with this as we haven't been able to complete the Photoshop typography lesson yet due to Covid-19.
The font is serif and is normally used for informal and modern typography also used to talk about gossip in the media.

3) How do the cover lines appeal to the Reveal target audience?
The cover line seems to attract younger population as they are curious about gossip between celebrities
4) What are the connotations of the Reveal colour scheme on this particular front cover?
The main colours are red, pink and yellow which connote femininity and happiness. 
5) How are images used to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. mise-en-scene such as props, costume and make-up, body position, facial expression).
Images are used to create interest by using clothing pieces which match up with current trends and using props such as the latest phones to make the audience want the and feel as if they were interacted with. 
6) What differences can you find between the use of design and typography between Tatler and Reveal? List at least three and explain the effect on audiences.
Tatler uses the font sans-serif which connotes more of a serious and magazine that older people would enjoy. Also, Tatler uses one central image which is neat and tidy and is more appealing to posher communities.
Whereas, Reveal uses serif font which is informal and more used for gossip. Also, there are many images as the central image which is messier and more appealing to the younger generation.  

Representations

1) What type of celebrities appear on the front cover? How are they represented in Reveal? (Positive? Negative? Reinforcing or challenging stereotypes?)
Celebrities normal end up on the magazine cover of  Reveal if they get into a scandal and secret relationships. In the magazines they are portrayed very negatively as they are having there relationship revealed without there permission.
2) How are women represented on the cover of Reveal? Think about both images and cover lines here.
Women are presented as troublesome and people who get into secret relationship as you can see in the cover line and central image.
3) How do Reveal and Tatler represent social class? (E.g. middle/upper class and working class)
Tatler represents upper class and more posh people by showing they can desire and can get what they wants. On the other hand, Reveal is mainly for working and middle class as they read the gossip for the entertainment so they can spread the rumours as word of mouth.  
4) What would be the preferred and oppositional readings to this cover of Reveal?
The preferred reading of Reveal would be that it contains information about of women in the 20s-30s and gossip that could ruin famous celebrities careers. Contrarily, the oppositional reading would be that the gossip is just fake and photos are being photoshopped for publicity. 

Social and cultural context

1) What aspects of British life are reflected in Reveal? How does this compare to Tatler?
British aspects that are reflected in reveal magazine are celebrities secretly dating which some of the British population can relate to. As not all of Britain live a life filled with luxury. Also Tatler are more targeted towards posh and rich people who can't relate to reading gossip.
2What do the cover lines in Reveal suggest about the issues and lifestyle of Reveal readers?
The cover line of  Reveal show that the audience are hopeless romantics who need to read about others love life to fulfil themselves.
3) Find three other front covers for Reveal. What issues or features regularly appear in Reveal? 
Features that are constant in Reveal magazine are the title of publication at the top, mainly being based of women in there 20s-30s relating to relationships. Also many cover lines relating the subject of the magazine.
