 1) Research: Science Fiction / Fantasy TV drama endings

Watch the following Science Fiction TV drama clips and write an NCIS analysis of each one.

Clip 1: Class Episode 4


Narrative: April had half heart from Corakinus. and takes control of heart . Alien vs human 

Character: April-hero/villain= seen to be aggressive and nearly kill father.
Ram-hero= tries to save April from shadowkin world by jumping in.

Iconography: Swords- Science fiction, glow in April eyes-connection between her and shadowkin.

Setting: garden- better connection between audience as is familiar ,corakinus shadow world.


Clip 2: The 100

Narrative: two people converse about murder.

Character:  girl -subverts stereotypes by previously killing someone which goes against the stereotype woman are meant to be gentle. 

Iconography: Dark eye makeup- bravery, fear Hair- could be from another planet maybe alien.

Setting: Forest with water- seem to be a dystopia with people the main character knows.


Clip 3: Stranger Things

Narrative: Drama when kids scream and villain an alien seen to  shock and frighten the kids.

Character: Alien-Villian 
Eleven-hero/villain hurts her friend but saves them from alien
Eleven subverts stereotypes as she knows what she’s doing and is assertive .

Iconography: blood and flashing lights creation tension.

Setting: classroom personal identity for student as they have been through school




2) TV drama planning 

Title: Replica

Logline: Aisha goes missing but someone’s already in her shoes and have made her parent believe that shes there daughter.Then she meets a guy who believes her.

Narrative: Aisha a normal girl goes for a walk late at night, she always climbs from her window so she never locks it but when she return is locked and someone is sleeping in her bed, she goes through the front door and goes to tell her parent but they get angry and ask her to leave or they’ll call the police. She went to report to the police but they said that there was no one who’s names Aisha in this town. She was super confused and then she saw a guy who believes what she said because he was being replaced in his own life too.

Narrative resolution: audience learn that this is the first attack of the mind control technology the government accidental and that they should think before the trust anyone. 


Information about the two locations that you are using and why you have chosen them: parents bedroom to have the audience have personal relation and bench in the park where Aisha meets Jay also to show its a teenager/young adult series 

Information about main characters: Aisha- shy, heroine, desire happiness in the world. non confrontational ,quick thinker,smart 

Other characters:
Jay-mysterious,edgy,desires friends to be safe,quick on feet ,athletic,smart 


Costume/props you’ll need: black leather jackets and painted black nails-Jay 
Sweater and jean light makeup, hints of black progress through out.
Weapon:rolling pin 


How you are aiming your product at the specified target audience of teenagers and young adults: 
By having people the age of teenagers and also playing into stereotypes to make it less realistic and more entertaining. fiction with sci-fi.
